Absolute nutters for everything with four wheels, Brett and his wife Jo-Ann started Kamo Parts to share their passion with customers wanting a better level of customer service, with speedy delivery of parts and access to a huge range of car parts and products.
Brett Hogan was born and raised in Kamo, Whangarei. A passionate Kamo-ite through and through, he attended Kamo Kindergarten, Kamo Primary School, Kamo Intermediate and Kamo High School before heading off to start a mechanics apprenticeship for Kamo Automotive. He switched to the heavy trade, working for Elite Contracting and Neil’s Towage. Brett moved into sales with a prominent Whangarei business and then moved throughout the automotive industry in various roles before deciding it was time to open his own business to meet the demand he saw for excellent customer service in the parts industry.
Brett is all about old-fashioned customer service and is happy to spend time with his customers, chatting about their projects and finding ways he can help – even if it means he spends an hour on the phone trying to track down just the right part for a specialised vehicle, or helping you choose the correct set of spark plugs off the shelf.
Outside of work, his passion for four-wheel driving is constantly indulged as a member of the Northland Family Four Wheelers as well as watching motorsport and anything where a vehicle is involved. Brett is living his passion and is using it to help out his customers, both loyal and new, to get what they want, when they need it, at the right price, each and every time.

Jo-Ann Hogan was born and raised in Tokoroa in the mighty Waikato and has lived in Whangarei for the past decade. While one of her main roles is now Super Mum to their three young children, she still completes design work on the side.
With a history in sales and marketing within the print industry, Jo-Ann is adept at dealing with customers looking for parts big and small.
As any parent would know, multi-tasking is a skill often specialised by a busy mum. As the other half of the friendly team at Kamo Parts, Jo-Ann takes care of the administration and marketing for the business, as well as helping with sales, customer service and in the essential role of chief shelf-stocker.
Outside of work, Jo-Ann passions lie with family four-wheeling with her family; working on endless creative arts and craft projects; writing and designing newsletters; and just in case that wasn’t enough, she enjoys some peaceful “me” time by running the streets, hills and sights of Whangarei.
